Animation

This fun animation was designed not only to increase the children’s curiosity and imagination about outer space and numbers but also to help their young minds understand the basic concept of numbers having an order, from smallest to largest. By having the alien spaceships travel in line, from 0 to 10, and emphasizing this order throughout the story, the animation could build an interesting framework for teaching value comparisons.

Always favorites for young children, the aliens and spaceships in the story well grasped the children’s attention. Moreover, it seemed like most of them, even the youngest ones, came to better understand the order of numbers; for instance, that 2 comes before 3, which is then followed by 4.

The alien spaceships and backgrounds were created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and the movements were animated with Adobe After Effects. Also, effects, music, and color fixes were added with Premiere Pro to make the video more exciting for children.

Storybook

This is a storybook paired with the animation. Primarily designed to teach students the order of numbers, the book is a useful supplement to the animation because it shows children the ordered numbers in static images, allowing for better reception.
